Great design, problems with implementation

I have used this mouse for a few years, at home and at two different job sites, and it has made a big difference in my mousing endurance. This is an excellent design. However, I have had problems with the last two I bought. There is a manufacturing problem affecting the operation of the rocker button. For the left button action, the rocker has to be pressed down level with the housing surface in order to guarantee a good contact. This requires extra effort and eventually can cause unnecessary thumb fatigue. I returned one of the units and received a replacement with the exact same problem. I kept it and made a modification that overcomes the problem reasonably well.
I have recommended this mouse to lots of people, but I'm suspending that recommendation until I see this problem addressed.
