Yes
Even though I bought this set from the original owner it's new to me and I absolutely love it. The image is very clear and it's still a fun thrill for my Monday Night Football buddies and I to see the larger than life images and close-ups. In fact, this set has forever tied me to both size and high definition. I already had a 42" HDTV with 1080p (cable only broadcasts at 720p) in the living room, but prefer this 55" for all live and sports related broadcasting. Caution: once you go high def - you'll NEVER go back. Also, apparently the built-in tuner is a big plus (according to my neighbor) but I think the hd cable box would have done the job for me anyway. My overall grade is an A - (loses a few points since it has a DVI and 2 RGB HD, I would have prefered one more RGB input). Bigger is Better
