Worked fine for first two years

Pros big, bright, lots of inputs.  VGA input for a computer.
Cons Fans are louder than other sets.
Recommended it? No
The Bottom Line:  I can deal with replacing a $300 bulb, but not a $1400 light engine.  Thumbs down.
Bought the TV from costco.com a few years back.  The picture appeared to have a slight magenta cast at times, but I didn't think much of it.

The picture was very bright and I have not had any issues with viewing angles.  The sound is not as deep as my older toshiba tube-based RPTV but I fixed that with a external surround sound system.

The built-in fan is noticable to me, especially during the quiet scenes.

Remote doesn't have individually assigned inputs - you must cycle through all of the same input types using a single button (e.g. a button for hdmi/PC, a button for AV1-3, a button for component1-2, etc).   This makes it impossible to program macros that are 100% bulletproof on my universal remote (for example there is no way to definitively select the HDMI input - I can only toggle between HDMI and PC.)

TV is starting to make a loud humming sound now and another site on the web suggests that the color wheel is failing and that it is a $1000 repair job since the entire optical engine must be replaced.

It was a good set for the price, and if it wasn't for this new humming sound I would be satisfied with it.  Now I am simply waiting for this thing to completely die so that I can replace it.
