Why the DuraMax saved my sanity (and wallet)

Pros BEST cellular phone I've owned. Takes a beating and continues to perform.
Cons Disappearing (is Panasonic even making cellular phones anymore?)
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Definitely the cellular phone for anyone who can't seem to avoid breaking phones and thus the bank. Super reliable and durable. I love it!
The EB-TX220AS (aka: DuraMax) has been the best cellular phone that I have ever owned. Pre-DuraMax was a time of broken phones, crappy batteries, and constant visits to the local AT&T Wireless store for phone upgrades. No more. I've owned the EB-TX220AS for over two years, dropped it several times (at least 15 if not 20), spilled sour cream and guacamole all over the keypad twice, and have had it stuffed in my pocket day in and day out. Granted, it's skimpy on programing (i.e., no games, can't download ring-tones, no calculator, and certainly no internet access), but it's great for the basics that it has (i.e., text messaging to other phones and email addresses, assignable ring-tones, a good detailed phonebook, a WordT9 function, reasonable battery life, and sensible key placement). Another wonderful thing is that I've never had to pay the local AT&T Wireless store additional visits for this little guy. The phone is too well built, which is probably why it seems like it's no longer being made (it's listed as a discontinued product on Panasonic's website). In all honesty I'm not looking forward to Post-DuraMax, and have considered buying another one as a spare in the case my current one eventually meets it's end.

All in all, I love this phone.
