I bought this reciever over a yamaha because of the name denon. I am extremely glad that I picked this one because of all of the features and the ease of set up. I hooked it up with the hkts-14 5.1 surround speakers that I had hooked up to a sony reciever and now the speakers sound as good as they really are. With the sony i had a lot of distortion and not good sound. Now I hear clean and all around perfect sound. It works great for music and movies. The tuner is great as well. It autimatically selects the stations and makes programs easy. I would suggest getting good wires because it really makes a difference. Also make sure that you have a large cabinet for storing the denon so that it gets room to breathe. I bought this product directly from denon and never would think about getting another brand. The waranty is great and if you have any questions the tech support is friendly and helpfull.
