Not a very well put together computer

Nice slender case design but that's about it.

The Bottom Line:
Don't buy it - spend your hard earned money on a better computer.
I bought this computer about a month ago and it has given me problems ever since. I bought it with 1GB of installed RAM, Windows Vista (because they only offer this computer with this operating system), 140GB hard drive and the Athlon chip.
When I first turned it on, I noticed that Acer did a wonderful job of installing programs that I didn't ask for such as Norton. So, I try to uninstall Norton and it wants the CD. Acer, of course, didn't include the CD. It has a bunch of other programs that weren't ordered but they decided to put on. In short, all of these "extras" bogged the computer down to unimaginable Commodore 64ish type speeds. Not only that, but Norton would not allow anything but IE7.0 to get on the Internet. So, no Outlook, iTunes, FireFox2 until it gets uninstalled. OH! They didn't inlucde the CD.
If you purchase this computer, request that none of their wonderful "extras" get put on the computer. Oh yeah! Their choice of motherboards is terrible. It comes standard with a wopping 533MHz FSB. Oh, to upgrade graphics cards, make sure you get the PCI Express type cards (yeah, not much of a choice there is there?).
I wouldn't buy this thing again if I had to and Vista is terrible.............you thought previous versions were memory hogs (first time I power it up and it has 83 processes running in the background).
