The Bottom Line:
Avoid this one if you have any plans to use external devices. As a TV, it is probably OK.
My son is a major video game fan. We frequently travel and take one or more of his game systems with us so he can play when we arrive. We had always wanted an option so he could play is video games in the car or when we go camping, so we decided to try a portable tv. We needed one that could hook up to a car battery, household current or from regular flashlight batteries. This made the Action ACN-5503 5 seem ideal.
It worked fairly well in the car as a tv, but sadly, when we hooked it up to the gaming systems, there was a buzz that just never went away. We tried several different systems, different cables, etc. but no luck. There was no audio buzz when operated as a TV, but when hooked up to outside devices, the buzz came back. Even when we used earphones, the buzz was still there. Sadly, we have decided to return the TV.
