Adcom GFR 700 NOT worth the $2000 price

I purchased a GFR 700 a few months ago for $2000. The unit worked fine and and sounded fine as well. My friend recently purchased a Denon AVR 3806 for $820. We A/B'd both units on my Speakercraft Aim 8 FIVE 5.1 system. The Denon more than matched the Adcom. The Denon had more features as well. I feel like I just threw away $1200. Hell, my buddy and I could have flown to Vegas and had a great time at the Spearmint Rhino with the extra coin I wasted on the price difference between the adcom and denon.
