The Bottom Line:
Great entry level camera. Nothing spectacular.
I use this camera as my on-the-fly film capturing camera.
Granted it only records at 720x480, it's more than enough for capturing memories and moments. I've used it on several projects which can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/keiji22/
The sound capturing quality is fair for it's compact size, but don't expect much in the way of Cinema and HD quality sound.
Now, most larger camera's have video lights that record in the dark. Let me say, that as small as this camera is, it has a pair of extremely bright "foglights" just below the lense. Now, it's a little confusing on how to turn them on, but when you do, make sure you aren't looking at them as you will probably suffer from a burned retina.
This camera does what I bought it for, and exceeds its worth in price. It says it only accepts up to a 4GB SD card, but I've been running 8GB and 16GB SD cards in it with no problems.
Again, perfect camera for vacations, plane trips and quick-capture as it is extremely small and highly portable.
It also works wonders as a digital picture camera. Although it advertises 8MP, I recommend cutting that down to 6MP in the settings, or risk getting massive interprelated, poor quality images.
Battery life is great! As long as you aren't using cheap batteries.
