$99 digital camcorder - unique - fun - but a toy
Pros
1/3 of price of panasonic e-wear
Cons
must use rechargable ni-mh or lithium batteries
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
NOTHING else like it!!! Buy one!!! You will love it!!!!
It's a toy! But a fun toy!
It makes .avi movies and can even play them back on the built-in LCD, or email the movies to your friends.
Don't press camera buttons while deleting or formatting -
When battery low indicator, TURN UNIT OFF and replace batteries.
Not following this advice can lead to an unusable flash
memory card.
If you get this at compusa, buy the $10 warranty - my first unit was factory defective.
Also - be quite careful inserting the CF ram card into the camera- once it is in, use the USB cable to the camera to transfer movies, not a CF reader. This is because the CF card can be easily misaligned with the slot on the camera, resulting in a damaged card/camera (bent pins).
The fotos (stills) look great!
The mic is sensitive.
Sound recordings work well.
In my pocket everyday, everywhere I go.
This unit will drain a set of AA alkalines in minutes - use lithium or rechargable ni-mh cells, only
Control "thumb dial-jog" is hokey - mine needed a "break-in" period before "up" would work!?!?!?!
