Very cool gadget - worth the inexpensive price

Pros Small size, very affordable compared to other flash memory video cams.
Cons Manual focus - hard to judge results on tiny screen.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Not for high end camera buffs. Lots of bang for the buck.
This product is too sophisticated to be a toy, but not high end enough to serve as a primary camera.

But on the whole, I am extremely impressed with what this gadget does for the relatively low price I paid for it (about $150.00 including shipping).

I've captured pictures and video that I wouldn't have gotten if the DV4500 hadn't been on my hip. In that respect, it is really nice. But you have to accept the fact that this camera does not perform well in low light (although strobe flash available for still pix only, which helps) and you have to manually focus still pictures.

If you have sufficient light, the quality of the video is pretty good. It's no substitute for a conventional video camera. But again....you're not likely to have a conventional video camera with you at all times. However, you could have the DV4500 on your belt loop everyday.

The quality of the audio on the voice recorder is very good. The microphone on the DV4500 seems very sensitive.

The MP3 audio is also good. I have a 256MB SD memory card full of music and the DV4500 sounded just as good as my other MP3 player.

I haven't played with the web camera much. But you will definitely need a strong light source to get decent web video out of the DV4500.

Overall, I have absolutely no regrets about buying the DV4500. It is an extremely versatile and fun little gadget to have.
