The Aiwa CDC-X6504MP In-Dash MP3/CD Player is MP3tastic
What I want: Price & MP3s
About 5 months ago I unexpectedly found myself in the market for a new car CD player. It seems that my old one developed an unnatural attachment to my 80's mix CD. Don't get me wrong, I love Billy Idol. I just don't love him 24/7 and I'm not exactly a radio...

Very decent at $120
I bought this unit to replace a Pioneer DEH-P3100, 45Wx4 unit. I drive 2 infinity speakers in the front, and a 10
inch sub in the back directly from the head unit.
Mp3s:
I am a long time user of Mp3s, and own multiple
Mp3 CD players including a Rio-Volt. To use MP3s:

Feature-packed for the price
I've been using this head unit for about a week now. I will start by mentioning that I had been seeking out a low-end MP3 in-dash unit for a while, and I finally got the money to buy one, and this is the one I chose. This unit, buck-for-buck has a lot of features packed into it. The CD player can... Read full review »
Bang for the Buck Stereo
I've been looking to upgrade my car stereo to one that can play CD's, but I also wanted one that is MP3 capable for those long road trips. Many that I've seen with those features were a little too expensive for me. Then, this one came up for $120 on sale at Best Buy, and I thought I'd have to get... Read full review »
A Decent mp3-capable Player for the Money
I bought this product so I could listen to mp3s and audiobooks (via the front 1/8" stereo mini-jack) in my car without spending a fortune. Searched around the internet and found it at Crutchfield for ~$150 shipped (came with free wiring harness and mounting plate for my 99 Accord). Also came with... Read full review »

The volume control went bad in 1997 pontiac(premium sound sys). This AIWA doesn't have deep bass, face release button to close to seek control large fingers or silght miscue can cause the front come off ,volume control too sensitive. The factory EQ is too limited. I should have bought a Kenwood.

Skipped like an 8-year-old girl going to sunday school.
This receiver seems like a great value for the price, considering its specs. Shares the highest signal-to-noise ratio with the other Sonys, its FM sensitivity is only bested by the Pioneers', and the internal amp is supposedly stout, with 23.2 watts RMS per channel. It even includes an equalizer... Read full review »
Several Problems, Not Recommended
On the surface this seems like a great player/tuner: it looks nice, plays MP3s, has auxiliary (AUX) input in front, low price, etc. (The salesman said it has a Sony CD unit, but I never checked if that is true.) I never used it that much as I drive less than 10,000 miles a year, even then mostly... Read full review »
