I got this player for myself because I had a MiniDisk Deck, and I wanted a portable player for the go. If you have MD recording ability, I highly recommend this item. First off, it is very small: about three MD's thick! The remote is one of the best I've seen, including a very cool backlight. The included rechargeable battery has a nice, long life, and recharges in a few hours. The sound quality is as good as any other MD player I've heard to date, including Sharp and Sony. Most of all, it's a great deal. I spent only $180 on this product check (www.amazon.com) if they still have it.
