Pros Affordable, Dolby Digital, DTS, Good power output, easy, optical and coaxial digital...
Cons It only lasted a year and a half, remote is among the worst ever designed.
Recommended it? No

I bought this receiver as a part of Aiwa's 5.1 Surround 'Home Theater in a Box' that was offered at BJ's wholesale during early 2002. Pros Low price,good power,good features
Cons A little complicated to use at first.
Recommended it? Yes

I have had this receiver for 2 years. I have found it to be very durable. It is fairly easy to use and has lots of features. The nice thing is the ability to really dial in your sound/speakers. Read full review »

Pros Many features, Dolby Digital and DTS, Loads of connections
Cons Lousy Remote, can't bi-amp speakers successfully
Recommended it? Yes

I replaced an old Pioneer receiver that didn't have Dolby digital or DTS with the D-98. Power is reasonable and I was able to purchase on-line for under $150. I have read that Aiwa is owned by Sony and they are cleaning house. It may mean some more bargains.
