Aiwa CDC-MP32

bydanle Jul 30, 2002
Pros Awesome sound Clarity, nice sleek look, great functions.
Cons Skips a lot
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Sleek look and great sound isn't all that the Aiwa CDC MP32 provides, it also gives the comfort of a disappearing face for further protection against theft.
I bought the Aiwa mp3 player from overstock.com about 2 months ago. I was a little anxious at first because this was my first mp3 in-dash player. When I got it, I installed it right away. I have to tell you, it was the greatest thing I've ever experienced.

Sound
The sound was crystal clear. All I could hear was the singing. Nothing more. Both treble and bass were distinct and noticeable. With the 3 levels of "H-Bass" enhancement, one could really feel the bass in one's chest. Seriously. And with the new DSSA (Driver's sound stage adjustment) feature, I felt like I had a Dolby 5.1 speaker system in my car. It was truly a fascinating experience.

Other Features
What I really enjoyed was the remote. It is attached to your steering wheel, so that you can tweak all the functions on your receiver without swerving and crashing into trees trying to reach for the actual receiver. You can drive safely and listen to the music that you want to with this remote. There's also a really unique front auxiliary port in the front. That means that you can take your mini-disc player or even a microphone into the car and listen to yourself sing through your speakers. What i love most is the anti-theft protection. The D-mask is awesome. The face just flips into itself, hiding away the face so you don't have to carry the face around with you everywhere you go. It's awesome.

I bought the Aiwa cdc-mp32 player because I didn't want the hassle of changing CDs every 50-60 minutes. I wanted my CDs to last me months. And that is what the Aiwa cdc-mp32 provides me. It is both stylish and provides me with what I want. I can now sit in my car and listen to the same CD driving all the way from California to Texas. (There is over 10 hours of playtime on one mp3 CD). That's what interested me. I love it.

What I don't like about it is the skips. Aiwa does not provide good anti-shock/anti-skip protection. It skips quite a bit, however, that is just a small factor in its entirety.
