Aiwa CDC-X176

I went to look for a new cd/radio for my car and this one caught my eye first. It's great looks and great colors do not make up for its poor quality and skipping every couple of minutes when playing a cd. No matter if I was standing still, didn't even have the car fully turned on (on accessory), or moving, the cd player was constantly skipping. I could drive over the smallest possible bumps and it would skip.

On the hand, the heat produced by the faceplate was so overwhelming that I almost burned my hand when removing it not to mention the heat that came off the cd after being played.

I had this model replaced 4 separate times. The place I bought it from even cushioned it with numerous pieces of foam but nothing helped it.

It may look nice but the quality stinks.
