Quality sound, power and flexibility at a very reasonable price

substandard
I purchased it summer '02 to replace an older weaker system. After just a year and a half the digital tape deck control failed (deck two stuck closed so neither deck will operate). After another year the CD player stopped working as well.

Great unit with powerfully pleasant sound
At the beginning i would like to correct a mistake by a prior reviewer. 1) this unit does not have a weather band. 2)It also has no music calendar.

Excellent System
I did not actually buy this product. YET. I tried it out in the store and WHOA it blew me away. The bass is very very powerful at low to moderate volumes and at high volumes, it becomes pleasantly punchy. The woofers look like 61/2inchers and they absolutely do not distort pop etc at ANY volume... Read full review »

you get what you pay for!
The AIWA has a great sound for the price. But just six months after I bought this, the tape deck started to get jammed.
