One of my close friends purchased this stereo thinking it was the best investment he had ever made, unfortunately it was the exact opposite. For the first few weeks nothing seemed to be wrong with the stereo, until I turned the T-Bass all the way up. We noticed that the subwoofers were making a clanking noise. No matter what we did the clank replaced deep, filling bass. We called up Aiwa and they told us they stopped production because of that problem. He decided to purchase new speakers thinking that the problem would be solved. The problem persisted. Luckily, he got his new speakers cheap for $50.00 but he was still out the money. I also noticed another worthless feature. The BBE system was just put on there to look nice. If you turn it off it reduces the sound quality so much it sounds ridiculous! Unless Aiwa makes terrible speaker (which I don't think they do) this feature was put on there for nothing.He is now working on buying a new stereo, not from Aiwa of course. My advice is not to buy this piece of garbage. Sure it has many cool features but you money would be better spent on another system. Trust me, THIS IS A NO GO!!!
