The New Kid On The Block

Pros Excellent Picture & Sound, , 2 sets of A/V Inputs, 1 set of A/V Outputs
Cons Remote Power Switching
Recommended it? Yes
I recently purchased this television because I was looking for a good 20inch flat screen television at a budget price. Behold, the F2000. This is one of the nicest televisions I've seen and had the pleasure of owning. What initially drew my attention to this set, was picture quality, front and rear A/V inputs, and AIWA name. Now those of you familiar with Aiwa, would recognize them as a leader in home and portable audio, but not in the television market. In fact, this is the first year Aiwa televisions have hit the US market. On a recent trip to my local electronics store, a rep informed me that Aiwa is actually owned by Sony, which would probably explain the excellent picture and sound qualities.

The F2000 has some rather nice features for its size. With 7 watts of power running to each of its front 2 speakers, and bass enhancements, such as Q-Bass, you'll be very satisfied with its audio.
On the picture side, you'll notice a significant difference compared to other TV sets of similar size. At least I did at the local electronics store. Several picture presets such as "Video Game, and "Cinema" allow you to adjust with a press of a button, screen characteristics depending on program.
The only complaint I had with this product was its standby/remote power switching. If you turn the TV set off with the remote, you must turn it back on with the remote. For instance, I like to set the sleep function (which can only be set from the remote) to turn the set off while I'm sleeping. In the morning, I often can't find my remote (lost in the sheets!)and am unable to turn the TV on from its manual button. This can be a nuisance. If you keep your remote handy, and have fresh batteries available at all times, you shouldn't have any problems.
