This is a mixed blessing alright!
Pros
It is portable and colorful which stands out.. good for working out with.
Cons
This product has fallen way below expectation. the quality is substandard.
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
I would not recommend anyone to buy this product because it stops playing after a year. The product is substandard and make me refuse to buy anything by this manufacturer.
I bought this product because I believed in the quality that the brand delivers but I was totally let down!
This unit after a while(say 12 months) starts shutting off.It stops after say 30 minutes of play, then it shuts off after 15 minutes, then 10 minutes then 5 minutes, and after a while, it will not even play.
I paid $150.00 for this unit when it came out in May 2001. I bought the unit in August of 2001(what a mistake!). I wished I had chosen Sony.
I bought insurance which ran out in August of this year just before my product stopped working altogether. See Circuit City no longer carries this brand(it makes me wonder why?)
Now I am left with a product that no longer works and guess what?... my only recourse(the company offers)is to have me send my player to their Service center in NY which will cost me $84.50! This is not too bad since it includes shipping and handling, but guess what?. I can purchase a Sony for $49.99.
A friend of mine bought her a Sony the same time I bought my product and her Sony still works but not mine!
OK, so I thought I was the only one with this problem...my player keeps shutting off. Oh no! Just coincidence allowed for two of my co-workers to have the same product. Guess what? They have the same problem! Theirs keeps shutting off non stop but mine is the worst. Mine will not even start!
Ok I have said my piece. I am just letting unsuspecting customers who might purchase this product know the deal.. it is a beautiful electronic that one will fall in love with but it will break your heart!.. it will leave you without a sound!
