Best discman on the market for the price

Pros sleek design, digital radio and CD, never skips, sounds great, plays CDR's
Cons Headphone cord is too short, and it's hard to hold it without pushing buttons
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  For the money, it's better than any other discman. It has way more useful features, it looks cool, it sounds great, and you can use it for anything.
This is the best $89 I've ever spent on a portable electronic device. I got it at Target and it came with the really cool headphones that go behind your head instead of on top of it. They are also matching silver with baby blue trim, so they look great together. I like the design of this discman. It is very sleek and I like that the buttons are on the front so you can see them and get to them very easily. The bad thing about having the buttons on the cover is that it's really hard to hold the discman without pushing any of the buttons and messing up your music. And since the headphone cord is so short, you have to hold the discman if you want to listen while working out on any type of gym equipment. Also, the cover does not have a lock to keep it from popping open like some players do. It hasn't ever come open on me, but I'm always afraid I'll accidentally push the button to open it when I don't mean to. I wish it had one of those plastic levers to block the latch from opening it. But like I said, I haven't had a problem with this yet. The quality of the player is excellent. It gets louder than I'd ever want my music, even in a crowded gym. It plays CDR's that sound better in it than in my car or at home. And the absolute best thing is the anti-skipping mechanism. Even when I run at the gym, it has never once skipped. There is an indicator on the front that tells you how fresh the batteries are, and that is a really useful thing to have. The batteries seem to last longer than most discmans, but it still isn't THAT great. I'd recommend rechargeables. You can always use the AC adapter with it if you're by an outlet. The digital tuner makes it really easy to switch radio stations without a thought. You just pre-program them in and then all you have to do is push a button. No more messing around trying to find a clear frequency. I also bought a small pair of Sony speakers to play it without headphones at home, and it sounds great that way as well, and still gets plenty loud enough. So if you do what I did and buy $20 speakers, you can have a portable or regular CD player/stereo sound system for $109 roughly. I think it's well worth the money. I would recommend it for anyone interested in a discman.
