"Sweet Sounds"
Introducing our latest arrival. We are proud to announce the sprouting of a new twig on the Gungian family tree.
NOTE: This is an old (2000) review that was posted under an inappropriate product name. Some of my Epinions colleagues just informed me that this AIWA XP-V716C is now listed at...

Shootout: Three budget personal CD players.
You've probably read that all CD players sound the same--only the features are different. Over the years, my ears have told me otherwise, so I compared cheap Sony, Aiwa, and Philips machines using the same CDs and headphones (my treasured Sony MDR-V6, sadly discontinued). I found substantial... Read full review »
Good but failing
I bought this CD Player because it was cool, and at the time was $100. I had $100 and was looking for a GOOD CD Player since I had bought a cheap one that failed on me. Plus I was looking for a player that would support CD-RWs and CD-Rs since I frequently burn CDs.
What happened his when I...

Can't complain for the price I paid!
In the past, portable CD players were big, bulky and had little features. Now, as the new millenium passes us by, portable CD players are becoming more feature laden. However, it is hard to distinguish one model from another, since all of them are the typical One-bit (read: Bitstream) processor... Read full review »
Great sound, great features, affordable
I bought this cd player recently because I was tired of my bulky yellow Sony Sport Walkman that I got 6 years ago. I was debating between an mp3 player and a cd player and finally decided on cd, because mp3 is such a new technology, and I'm still unimpressed with the players out there.

NO!NO!
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! This product was a Christmas gift from my husband. Upon first trying it it would play one CD and not another, so I kept switching CDs in and out, trying to figure out if it was the CD player or specific CDs which were not working. The machine often made a loud clunking... Read full review »
Perfect sound
Aiwa cd players and components, have really become one of the most trusted brands of equipment. Great sound, and features. Very sleek and compact. Very affordable, I got mine for 60.00 at Wal-Mart and it came with a Car Kit, which includes, cigarrette lighter adapter and cassette adapter, which... Read full review »
It held up.... for a few months
My experience with this CD player started near the end of the summer when my father replaced my old Sony Discman with it. I was eternally grateful and started using it immediately.
Now, I'm a heavy consumer of music. I use my discman a good 1 1/2 hours a day, when I'm on the go. That...

My first Aiwa product
Although normally a big Sony fan, I omitted them from my choices because of the AVLS feature (automatic volume limiting system).
The player at first try seemed to have a habit of popping open unintentionally. This subsided after some use. Perhaps just needed to work in.
The...

A great discman for the sheltered environment
I had a big OLD Sony car discman, with big clunky anti-shock mountplate, for several years. It worked great and I never thought I'd buy a new CD player. But, alas, the old girl couldn't do CD-RW. So I bought this AIWA CD player new and thought it was pretty darn cool. The price was nice (70.00),... Read full review »
