If one intends to have an audio CD player only, this equipment is adequate, although it does skip when one hits a large pot hole. Decoded sounds while playing MP3 tracks is adequate. However, the player cannot play past 254 tracks and will recycle to the beginning at track 1, even though there are more tracks to follow, causing the unsuspecting listener to wonder why a book on tape ended prematurely.
