DO NOT BUY AKAI!

Was a great tv with great picture when it was working.
Cons
Cannot get it fixed. No one will even look at it. NO SERVICE!!

We bought this tv from Sam's club in 2002 and we are now stuck with a 54" TV that does not work sitting in our family room. We cannot get a repair place to even look at it. Even the factory authorized repair shop that AKAI's service center told me to call, would not come look at it. Apparently AKAI does not stand behind their products and parts are next to impossible to get.
