Great TV for the Price
I've owned this TV since 2003 and have not had any problems at all. I have read the other reviews, and can only say that there is probably a bad one in every batch. Mine however is doing great. Great picture, sound and connectivity to all my audio devices. It also has been very durable. I have 5... Read full review »
Do not buy any Akai product
I sent in a portable DVD player for repair almost a year ago and still fighting with them to get it fixed or sent a new player. This company has to be the worst ever for customer service by far. All you get is I will forward your complaint onto the corporate office that is all we can do. They will... Read full review »

When I called the service center they said that, in contrast to what AKAI said, they had no paper work about us and would not service a TV 2.5 hours away. When I called AKAI they said they had to... DO NOT BUY AKAI!
We bought this tv from Sam's club in 2002 and we are now stuck with a 54" TV that does not work sitting in our family room. We cannot get a repair place to even look at it. Even the factory authorized repair shop that AKAI's service center told me to call, would not come look at it. Apparently AKAI... Read full review »
