Alpine builds quality and this unit is no exception
Pros
Outstanding sound quality and construction. Beautiful design work on the faceplate as well.
Cons
Controls are not very user friendly, pricey compared to the competition, (Sony, JVC, Panasonic, etc).

Yes
I have owned this head unit for a little over a year. The truth is that many of the features I don't make use of or can't safely make use of while driving because the deck is a bit complex. The controls are not suitable to manipulation without looking at the deck, so I almost always have the remote in hand when fiddling with the system while in motion. However, the sound quality produced by Alpine head units is second to none and the fit and finish is top notch. You can literally feel the quality when you touch the controls and if you have ever owned an Alpine stereo, you already know that switching to a JVC or SONY to save a few bucks will only result in disappointment in the long run.
