What does Bass Center Frequency and Bass Band Width do for sound quality. Help!

This is a great system for the price. If anyone expects more then they should expect to pay $400 or $500 for the other models, which give you the ability to set the display color and brightness or equalizer customization.
The only thing I don't like…and maybe it's because I'm a dummy when it comes to the sound systems, but what in the heck does Bass Center Frequency and Bass Band Width do for sound quality.
Someone tell me what I should set it for. If someone knows they can email me at epreci at msn.com
