This Cd Player has more features than you can imagine, many of which I don't even use like the XM Satelite radio reciever. Not only does it play mp3s and wmas on Cd-r's /CD-RW's but also you can make m3u asx playlists on your computer and burn them on a cd and the the 9831 will play them! Theres no dolphins jumping around on the screen, there is an indicator that you can setup to change according to the music level, have it move at a fixed state or make it run with the illumination setting. The illumination setting lets you change the buttons colors to any color you almost want (512 colors), and there are preset colors which you can quickly select like amber, red, green, blue, etc. View titles of mp3s, and audio files in many formats, by folder, mp3 tag, file name, album name, song name. There Mix and Repeat , mute, att, title buttons let you take control of your audio. You can also do a search for mp3/wmva/cd test and even radio stations! There is also a scan mode for radio and cd's. Time correction makes sure that all speakers in your car find the listeners ear at same time. You can also title your favourite disks, and modify this later. With the compatible Alpine amplifier, you can also display voltage and amperage the amplifier is using. You can download equalizer, crossover and time correction data from the alpine website , put it on a cd and open it using this deck. This CD mp3 deck is amazing!
