Alpine CDA-9856 Car CD / MP3 Player

For $200 dollars with the free car kit and harnesses this head unit is worth every penny (Ordered from Crutchfield). The sound quality compared to the OEM unit is outstanding. The feature I wanted most (and found most difficult to please) was the mix disc feature. I found out that head units almost twice as expensive were lacking in this rudimentary feature. The Alpine loads and plays MP3 disc quite rapidly and most importantly, shuffled quickly between MP3 tracks, looks great, and with Crutchfields instructions, was easy to install.
My only negatives at this moment is that the display gets washed out easily in sunlight and you can't display the track name, artist info along with the time. You have to press the title button a few times to display the time. It's annoying how you can't display the time along with the artist you are listening to. You can see the folder number and track number with the time though.
Overall I am very happy with the Alpine head unit.

I would recommend this unit for anyone looking for a cheap great sounding head unit that can play MP3's, WMA's and CD's.
