Alpine CDA-9857 Car CD / MP3 Player

For Christmas in 2006, I asked my family for a new receiver for my truck so I could plug in my Ipod. Having never owned an Alpine before, I was slightly concerned. I have had good experiences with JVC, Panasonic, and others, but I decided to give Alpine a try. I installed it and simply could not believe how great it sounds. The controls definitely take some getting used to and can be slightly clumsy sometimes, but you will get used to it. For example, the receiver actually takes full control of your Ipod. However, whenever you go to select a new album or artist, you start at the "A"s on the list and not the album or artist that you are currently listening to. It's only a minor irritation. Regardless, the sound quality for the price is simply fantastic!
