Alpine CDA-7863

The Bottom Line:
The CDA-7863 is a great unit with plenty of power and great sound with the right speakers. If you get a new Alpine you will never have any regrets.
I have always owned Alpine and wouldn't have it any other way. I did have trouble with face plate connection on my old CDA-7829 but but they have since redesigned the pins.
I now have the CDA-7857 and the CDA-7863 in each one of my vehicles. The CDA-7857 sounds great and pulls in great reception. The CDA-7863 sounds better along with its more powerful amplifier but for some reason gets terrible radio reception.
I also like having the spectrum analyzer since it lets you know where the music is hitting. I would also like to boast about the BBE. What a difference when you get used to it and then turn it off.
I purchased mine brand new from an ebay store and paid $300.00. That was a great deal! I think that most on-line stores charge at around $350.00 after add in a really high shipping charge.
