This HU is awesome.
Pros
Enormous amounts of power. Many useful features, time correction, and built in crossover.
Cons
Pricey, but worth it. Takes long to figure it out.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
I 100% recomend this. I am very hard to please and i am totally satisfied by this deck.
Overall:
Great deck on alpines part. Recomend to everyone. Alpine decks are great for the sound fanatic, but lack the cosmetics of other cheaper decks such as, JVC, Sony, or Pioneer.
Pros:
Face plate tilt is a great feature to show someone that they dont have it and brag. Of course the max. 60x4 is great, I power a pair of apline 6 1/2inch coaxials with it and a pair of 6x9's and they sound undistorted and awesomely clear. The file search where you can scroll through the songs while u listen to pick another. The built in crossover and time correction is a great feauture, a little complicated but over all brilliant. The mediaxpander (MX) feature really does bring the songs to life, and could never go back to a head unit other then ALpine. THey really know what they are diong. I love this deck is a fan with all the friends.
Cons:
Price, retail at about 550$ plus tax in canada, picked mine up for 320 plus tax, so shop around while looking for one. The deck is very comfusing, had it for 2 months now and still figuring it out. Any other deck takes an hour tops. The display is very plain. Volume nob is stubby. Bad set out remote keys. Other then that i haev not found anything wrong these are just things i can b*tch about, i would not say they are anything major.
