Buy something Else!

Pros Awesome sound on the right song
Cons Glide Bar, Equalizer, Display
Recommended it? No
The Bottom Line:  Do not buy this unit. It is horrible to use!
I don't know where to start to describe how disappointed I am with this deck. I have owned only Alpine for the last 15 yrs, but NO MORE!
The deck is one of the hardest to operate I have ever seen! I have an all Alpine system, so everything should work together. It does, but not well.
First, there is not enough adjustment in the equalizer. I cannot get the treble down and the bass up. Also, the equalizer control is buried. You have to hold in the menu button, select the EQ with the "glide bar". Then push the glide bar to select, then adjust each band by using the top button to move through it, after that you have to save it to one of the presets. Now you can finally back out of the menu system. You cannot do this while driving and there is no simple Bass and treble settings either because the menu doesn't back you all the way out. you have to select "RTN" on the glidebar to do this. And you can't adjust volume when in there either, nothing is adjustable when you are in the menu system.

Next the "glide bar" is a royal pain. It takes 3 clicks to select a preset station. First, you have to click on the glide bar, then the presets show up. Next, select a preset and then try to press the bar in to select. STUPID. I want the controls I use all the time to be one touch! Again, you will wreck the car looking down at the system.

The display is unreadable with the sun.

I had to set the pre-amp output voltage at .2v (supposed to be 2v) in order to get good volume out of my speakers (4 - 6.5" SPR-17LP and a 4ch 75W RMS amp - MRV-F345) I will say the sound is awesome and no distortion, but the treble will cause you pain and you can't adjust it down enough.

The Glide Bar and stupid non-intuitive feature setup make this deck horrible to own. I hope it gets stolen!
