Alpine CDM-7833

This is a fairly entry level unit in the Alpine family of CD receivers. However, it being an entry level model in no way undermines the sound quality of this CD receiver. A respectable 35W X 4 with "loud" option for amplifying low notes at lower volumes is especially worth the price.

The interface and display are one of the better ones you will see in the $179-$220 price range. The CD transport mechanism is flawless. The only bad thing is Alpine's notorious white lettering on the buttons that you can't see with the green backlights. This is especially true for the daytime. Other than this minor complaint, if you are looking for an under $200 CD Receiver for you vehicle, this one should be at the top of your list.
