Alpine CDM-7834 Car CD Player

I bought this CD player 2 years ago and it served me well for a year and a half. About 6 months ago, it decided not to play my cds anymore. The balancing springs are no longer working (when I load a cd, the player can't get a grip and can't balance the cd properly). When I put a cd in, it either doesn't play or it skips constantly. This is very frustrating considering the fact that this is an Alpine. I figured it would last longer than a year and a half. My experience has been so terrible that I will never buy another Alpine. I will buy a brand that works for more than 2 years. Oh yeah, and the button for releasing the face broke, and I have to pry the face off with a pen every time I use it.
