Alpine CDM-9823 Car CD Player

I bought this unit for my car; it was an excellent choice. In fact when I sold the car, I pulled the unit and installed it in my truck. At only 2 and a half years of age the unit was frequently failing to eject CDs; if I slid something into the slot I could kind of help it along and get the CD to finally eject. Recently even that was difficult, so I ended up replacing the unit. A repair to it would likely be more costly than a new one (I acquired a new unit which also handles MP3/WMA, satellite ready, and iPod interface).

I think the unit should have lasted longer than it did.
