Clean power and sound
Pros
sound purity at full volume. easy installation. ability to wake neighbors
Cons
desktop speakers are 4 1/2 wide and may cramp workspace next to large monitors.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
I would strongly recommend these speakers. Take a listen at local store with a CD you like. You'll enjoy the sound and decide if these are for you.
I installed these speakers to a Dell Desktop with no problem. While the instructions are ok the pictogram is all you need to start thumping. While I was replacing $15 speakers, these full range satelittes are crisp, clean and somewhat flat. By flat, I mean you won't experience listeners fatigue from long sessions of music enjoyment. About the only shortcomings are the "full size" of satelittes next to my 19" monitor- but it helps stereo separation. Also, to get the full-range sound you do have crank it up which may upset family members/neighbors. Since the subwoofer has a level control, you can trim the bass as needed to give full range sound. I ordered on-line and paid about $100 delivered. These speakers sound great playing Blues & Reggae cranked up. I really don't play my home stereo anymore- since I got these 621s.
