Altec Lansing 621 2.1 Speakers

After reading a lot of positive reviews of the Altec Lansing 621 speakers, I decided to purchase a set. And they did sound great. But less than 2 months later the right channel stopped working and the sound would start and stop when the right speaker cable was jiggled. I contacted Altec Lansing tech support and when I mentioned I was having a problem with the right channel, the tech immediately guessed that it was a loose connection before I described the problem. Sounded like they had seen a few of these before. Then I was told to ship the product back at my expense to get it replaced. Since these are not light, it cost me $25 to ship them back. I paid $108.94 for the speakers so I had to pay almost 25% of the cost of the speakers just to have their defective product fixed! I just hope I don't have to ship them back again. Beware of the possible extra expense in buying these speakers. The price you pay for them may not be the final price.
