A Very Loud Endorsement
Aaahh... There's nothing like settling down for a game of Mechwarrior and making the windows shake.
These speakers were purchased for me over a year ago, and if I had to purchase another set of speakers today I would not hesitate to go with this brand. Of course, there's no need for me to...

These speakers are better than the ones for my stereo!
When I first connected my Altec Lansing speakers, I was amazed at the high quality sound that came from them.
The speakers that I previously had connected up to my computer were the ones that came with the computer and were not top of the line. I decided that I needed better speakers and...

LOUD bang for the buck ;)
I purchased the Altec Lansing ACS 295 speakers about nine months ago for my new Dell Dimension computer (which, by the way, I also really like and feel like I got a good price for). But the speakers ... what can I say?
I really can't get the volume beyond halfway of its potential because...

Awesome speakers but...
I bought these speakers from Egghead.com when they were refurbished. I think I made a big mistake. When I got them and plugged them in they sounded great. That subwoofer ROCKS! I mean, the power in them can really blow you away if you're a serious gamer or if you just like to use them for MP3s.

They produce good sound for their cost (I don't remember how much I paid for them), but I've had a couple small problems with them. My first is with their wires;... Read full review »
Is this stereo sound?
When my brother had purchased these speakers I said to him "Steve turn the stereo down" and he said "that's the computer" and I raced upstairs to see the amazing small compact size of them then I saw the this big object under the computer and heard the bass and I was simply shocked by the amazing... Still chugging along
I received a set of AC295 speakers nearly 2 years ago with my Dell Dimension computer system, and I must say I have been thoroughly impressed. These speakers retain their crystal clarity even at deafening volumes. Unfortunately, I have not been able to figure out how the volume control knob works... Read full review »
Impressive sound
I am not sure of the reputation of Altec-Lansing when it comes to computer speakers but I am definitely impressed with the 295's that came with my Dell. I mean you can really crank them up and get full range sound. As most people have already said, the subwoofer is great. The whole system sounds... Read full review »
