Better than a stereo and less than $50
Pros
Good sound, good volume, less than $50
Cons
Uhhh..., the volume knob is on one of the speakers. Does that count?
Recommended it?
Yes
Back when I turned fourteen, I needed some sort of stereo, as we kids get into that sort of thing at that age, and being a bit of a computer nerd at the time, I decided I would put all of my CDs on my computer (.wav files back then) but I needed better speakers, so I went out with fifty five dollars and could afford these. It was one of the better computer purchases of my life, and they've been great to me. The sound is excellent, and the volume can get pretty loud without distorting. They are also great for games though they may not be those new-fangled surround sound speakers. The key advantage of these speakers is that they make $200 stereo's obsolete, if you have a computer and a CD-ROM, these are much better and all for a quarter of the price. The bottom line is this: if you 1. don't have speakers for your computer, 2. have the speakers that came with your computer, or 3. want a new stereo, this is the solution for you.
