Altec Lansing ACS 44

I was on a budget for my newest computer. Since I was building it myself, I was able to get each product separately. These speakers first of all are Altec Lansing. In my opinion computer speakers don't get any better.
When I got my speakers, which came thought the mail, I rushed to open the box to look at my new speakers. Now I must say that I was initially disapointed at the size of them. Well, I had paid for them so I just went ahead and plugged those suckers in. Since they were kind of small, I, had the volume turned up for my favorite computer game 'Descent'. The only word I can use for what happened was ouch. I was unprepared for the volume these things contained.

When I really looked at them I realized why. The size of the smaller speakers take up the entire package, where most other speakers have a lot of decorative plastic surrounding the speakers. Now this can be done because of the woofer. I just realized how loud it was a few days ago when I realized my computer was shaking the room above me.

I found these speakers easy to set up. The connections are color coded, and all you have to find is the connection to your sound card.

I'm glad that I bought these speakers. I didn't even have to pay an outrageous amount of money to do it either. I would definitely recommend these suckers to anyone shopping on a budget who still wants a good bit of volume and clarity. Of course if you an afford it, why not buy something bigger right?
