"Sh*%!! The Floor Is Shaking!!"

Pros Great sound for a great price, easy to hook up
Cons could use treble control
Recommended it? Yes
That was the first thing out of my friend's mouth when the credits for Duke Nukem started. He was standing about 5 feet from the computer when this happened, and that's why I know I have a great speaker system on my computer. I purchased the Altec ACS45.2 speaker system after comparing all of the speakers that a major electronics store had, and they had about 10 different systems to chose from.
The bass is very room filling, and the highs and mids are clear and sharp. Room filling bass without the muddiness that some systems create, this is due to the 6.5" woofer and perfectly tuned sub cabinet. The satellite speakers are clean looking, and very clean sounding. They don't clutter the desk, and sound great. With the sub cabinet tucked under the desk, you don't even realize this is no ordinary computer speaker setup, until the sound comes alive.
By adjusting the subwoofer volume, you can tune these speakers to the room and to your tastes in sound. The volume controls, located on top of the right satellite speaker, are easy to use. Pressing both of the volume controls at the same time will instantly turn the system on or off.
I would recommend these speakers to anyone who was interested in great sound for a great price. I passed up systems that cost 50% more, but didn't sound as good.
