I have always been a big fan of Altec Lansing equipment, and after my most recent purchase, that view has not changed. I recently bought the ACS45.2(Ya, I had to look up the product number.) and this product was well worth its low cost. This setup comes in a three piece system, with a subwoofer and 2 cube speakers. The subwoofer gives off some extreme sound for the size, and can be placed in many different places due to the long cord. Another bonus about the chord, is that there is no AC/DC, big clunky box to plug in, there is just a single plug, which makes it easy to fit on your overely stuffed surge protector. The two main speakers are small and easy to place around your monitor and give off a very full and rich sound, and I have found that they even give off a good amount of bass for the size. Overall, altec lansing has really outdone themselves with this one. I paid 80 dollars for mine, but after hearing them in my room, I think I would have payed much more. If you want a quality sound system, I would highly recommend this system. It's affordable and will fill a room no matter what type of music you like.
