A Sweet Sounding Deal
Pros
Easy to use, and inexpensive.
Cons
Not as many features as some of the bigger names.
Recommended it?
Yes
When I bought my new Dell PC I needed to get speakers that gave me a good sweet sound and did not break my budget. The Boston Acoustics were very nice, but Altec had a large variety of speakers that were in my price range. I bought the Altec 495's and realized that I had received a great deal.
Not only are these speakers highly affordable but they simply ROCK!!! The sound is great, the controls are in a perfect location, and the use of USB from the Sub to the PC is a great added feature. I can control the sound from my PC, the regular volume control, my USB Volume Station, and from the speakers as well.
It is great to be able to tweak every bit of sound coming out, and to really be able to get the best sound for the least amount of money possible. It was easy to set up and was even easier to use.
If you are looking for a good speaker to use, that will play your games with a vibrant sound, but do not want to pay out your entire bank account.. These are the ones for you! You will like them, I do!
