Does not have a crossover!

Pros cute "BOMB" design, RCA inputs and outputs, mono/stereo and phase switches.
Cons NO CROSSOVER! not very loud at all, small speaker, not a "subwoofer", is full range.
Recommended it? No
The Bottom Line:  any subwoofer HAS to have a crossover, otherwise it is a full range single speaker with weak lows and muddy highs. A used boombox would be better.
I bought this in canada at XC (excess cargo) for 24.88cdn tax = 22.00us. It is a cute design, If it is laying down it looks like a BOMB. It has RCA hookups for left, right, and video, with a stereo/mono switch if you have a mono source. Since it has input and output connections, you can plug it in before your television. Source > xa3001 > TV. It would be good for a video game system or maybe DVD/VHS. My main complaint is that it does not have an electronic crossover in it! This way the "subwoofer" speaker plays ALL frequencies which is not a good idea. the highs sound bad. It is also not very loud.
If you have a television with RCA outputs, I think you would be better off hooking up a boombox with RCA inputs, preferably one with detachable speakers for good seperation. This would provide much better sound for the same or less cost, and have other uses. one other thing, if you are in the market for a television, make sure you get one where the RCA outputs are connected to the television volume control. When they are always full volume, you have to turn down your extra speakers(XA3001/stereo/boombox) seperately, and if they dont have a remote, this is a royal pain if the phone rings.
