The Bottom Line: If you are printing digital photographs one at a time, perhaps. But for personal office printing, the deficient paper tray is a show-stopper. Do not purchase it.

I bought this product to enable printing digital photographs, but primarily I intended it to print plain B&W 8.5x11" word processing documents and pdf's. I was hoping for the best of both worlds.

As a plain B&W printer, I find it woefully inadequate. Yes, it is fast. But, the paper tray holds way too few sheets, and must be refilled constantly. Moreover, because the vertical height of the tray is too small, and it is too deep, I find it extremely difficult to reach inside with my fingers and either load 8.5x11" paper all the way in, or remove the remaining paper to either restack it with new paper or change to colored paper.

Also, the printed sheets do not stack correctly, and generally go flying or end up out of order. There are no guides on the sides to secure the paper.

During even the simplest print jobs, the printer starts grinding its gears (literally!), pauses, and displays a message that it is recalibrating. This is true even during the most routine black & white printing.

At one point, the printing speed slowed down to a crawl. I went through a series of troubleshooting screens, and the only one left was to defrag my hard drive. I hesitated, because that process is time-consuming, did not seem necessary on a relatively new computer with tons of excess hard-drive capacity, and shouldn't be related to the printer anyway. Well, that did the trick, but I still don't know why it was necessary.
