Condensed Review,

I set the TV up it looked pretty good, but there was a little too much red and letters and people had a fuzzy glow around them. I read the instructions it described this exact problem would happen if you did not do the very 1st thing the instructions suggest, which is adjust the Convergence. So I read the instructions about setting Convergence. Convergence is the act of adjusting the red and blue colors to make them more true and accurate. I followed the instructions and end up in the right area, but not knowing how to actually set and save my Convergence settings.

When you go to set the Convergence you have to set the red and the blue separately. I started with red since it was the 1st selection. Once your in the screen you see a grid of white lines making little square boxes all across the whole screen with a little red square crosshair. (Here is where I got lost and did not understand) it said to move the cursor to the area you wish to adjust and lock the crosshair by hitting the mute button and then adjusting the red color by using the - and + Channel buttons along with using the - and + Volume buttons as well. The adjusting would be finished when the red lines are superimposed over the white lines. (Now here is what threw me) I was thinking they were talking about the red crosshair that turns white when you lock it, they are not. What they are talking about is the red fuzziness that protrudes from the white lines like bleed off. There is also Blue fuzziness bleeding off the white lines as well. You adjust the top and bottom lines by using the - and + channel buttons. You want to make the red fuzziness disappear and them do the same for the right and left white bars, by using the - and + volume buttons. You have to do each square on the TV screen, now once you have adjusted the red (basically the white lines have no red fuzziness.) hit menu and arrow down to the store option and hit the vol + button, after a few seconds the words "STORE OK" will appear and your done setting the red. Now do the exact same thing for setting the blue. The white lines will have no blue or red fuzziness and will be clear when done adjusting both the red and the blue settings. Don't forget to store you new setting for blue as well and then you are done setting the Convergence.

I then adjusted all of the other settings. I set the color real low at 12 since it seems the red gun is very strong. I set Hue to 50, Contrast to 78, Sharpness is 100, Color Temp is Neutral, Brightness between the 70's to 100 it depends if I am watching TV in a dark room or not.

I have to admit the TV looks great.
