Awful experience, true piece of junk! CompUSA was worse than the set itself!
Pros
We bought it on the credit card, giving us the protection of dispute.
Cons
Everything! Remote slow, volume glitch changes without warning, other remotes cannot control this unit.

The Bottom Line:
Whatever you do, do NOT buy this unit. It is another example of Apex putting out an incredibly not yet mature example of technology. HDTV on this? A joke!
We bought this set, hoping that this would be a mature product that would have to be high enough quality to exhibit HDTV capability. Unfortunately, this was not to be.
The set gave us problems after a couple of weeks, and they never got better. The picture vibrated in and out, with huge shakiness of the images. The performance with graphics was especially weak. The set was also unable to hold convergence for more than a few minutes. Even when properly aligned, the picture still jumped in and out.
The Apex service center told us that the set could be fixed, but that they wouldn't be able to get the parts for several months, and we'd have to pay for the labor to fix it. Within 45 days of buying it. The service center also told us that even if we fixed it, the problem would arise again later.
CompUSA was a joke. The managers know that the set is a problem, and they continue to promote it in circulars and ads. The way that they handled the situation was also ridiculous. They wanted me to pay to deliver it back to the store, they wanted to take a restocking fee, and they didn't want to refund my initial delivery fee.
I'm having to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Whatever you do, as a buyer, don't buy this set! If you choose to try it, make sure and Do NOT pay cash. You'll have no recourse with CompUSA, and, frankly, with most stores.
