Pros Beautiful. Lightweight, nice battery life. Awesome programs included. Mac is an awesome OS.
Cons Not many programs. resolution same as 12". Not ultralight.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  I definitely recommend this. If your a student or you need a laptop and not a big budget but you want quality look no further: students get discounts :-)
I recently switched to mac, because I needed a laptop for my school work. I've always been an Intell user but I was curious about apple because I have always heard that it was much more advanced and reliable.
I LOVE my mac. I like how big my screen is, and a lot of people go on about how it is so easy to scratch, but I haven't found any yet, it still has the pristine clean white look. I upgraded the memory to 80 gigs and the ram to 1 GB and it didn't affect the price much at all, this computer runs so smooth, Even though there aren't as many programs for Macintosh as there are for windows, it's a small price to pay for the extremely fluent processor in the mac.
It takes a little getting used to and the one click thing isn't that bad if your willing to memorize quick keys or just do a little extra clicking. I love the mac, and there are so many great qualities about it, it would be wonderful if more programs would be written to be able to run on mac, but I am content with what they have to offer, I researched alot before my purchase and I would recommend this to anyone who is frustrated with PC's or isn't a computer game enthusiast.

The mac has stayed clean and unscratched so far. Most laptops don't have the CD drive that just sucks in CD's. That's really nice, because when I put it in my backpack I don't have to worry about a disk tray opening up and then breaking off :-) . All of the ports are on one side which looks nice as well as it is convenient, other laptops I have seen they are scattered around and that just seems really stupid now that I have been using this.
I use the airport card it comes with for WiFi and at home I use a wireless router for broadband. Connecting to it took seconds, I'm so glad it came with the built it wireless, it is so convenient and some laptops have cards that stick out, this one you can't even see, I've read that it was behind the display so that you can get a good signal, don't know if that is true but I do get a great signal everywhere in the house or outside. If you want to see all the specs just go to the apple website or look it up on a search, I think it will suit anyones needs. I love the programs so much and the integration. Any computers I get from now on are definitely going to be apples.

I've dropped the apple and nothing happened cosmetic or internal. I have not had a single reason to reboot the mac in the month I have owned it even though the PC I bought at the beginning of the year CRASHED BEFORE THE FIRST MONTH! I lost all my information trying to fix it myself, then it crashed again and I had to pay about 240 bucks to get it fixed even though I had purchased a protection plan :-( . The PC has windows XP and it runs better then previous versions of windows of course, but the battle with viruses, spyware, etc. are constant and even with all the virus protection, firewalls, etc. you still waste so much time and money trying to keep it running smoothly but every pc I have owned seems to still deteriorate in speed and stuff like that.
I get 5 hours and up with the battery conserve on and about 3.5 without it on. It comes with great programs. and Mac is the best operating system.

Oh yeah and the best part, one of my favorite things, when you call support (I've only called to ask question so far :-) They all speak clear perfect English, I don't mean to sound prejudice, my boyfriend actually is half Filipino and I have to have him call technical support places, because he can understand Indians thick accents, I can too to an extent, I usually frustrate them by asking them to repeat themselves a lot. Anyway apple everyone I have spoken with has spoken in clear English and they were very very friendly and it never sounded like I was talking to a computer it sounded like I was talking to a real person. Hopefully even if apple keeps on growing they won't change this wonderful aspect.
