Apple eMac 17 in. (M8894LL/B) Mac Desktop

I bought the SuperDrive model, with the DVD/CD burner. This machine works great! The display is beautiful, has adequate HD space, good amount of RAM (I upgraded to 768 MB, though). Setup was easy, and without complaint. This is my 6th mac, but my first full-time experience with MacOS X. I've had it on other machines, but spend most of my time in OS 9. However, this machine, with 10 and the G4 processor, works great. My last iBook was too sluggish under 10, even with heaps of RAM.

Great value for anyone wanting a G4 and not willing to pay extra bucks for the LCD iMac. And, comparing the two, the color on my monitor is much better (naturally being a CRT). I work as a graphic designer, and my machine at work is a G4 Pro Tower, and color is obviously a concern to me.

Only one concern: the video is a little flaky. When I fire up iDVD, the lower right corner of my screen pulsates slightly. Apple is aware of video issues, and I'm probably going to have the video/logic board replaced once the problem gets worse––for now it's fine. But, normally, it's fine and doesn't pulsate at all.

Can't go wrong with this buy.
